Governors Meeting Update

Each term, our Governors carefully review our staffing structure at our school, evaluate a variety of requests, and assesses absence reports to ensure the school remains well-positioned for continued growth. In addition, they actively discuss and share strategic plans for how the school will evolve as our community expands. At this time, the governors would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all staff for their dedication and tireless efforts. As we approach the upcoming half-term break, they hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved period of rest and relaxation, having contributed so much to the success of the school.

Northwest SENCO Day

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting 33 Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) from a wide range of schools across the Northwest. Their visit was a testament to the collaborative spirit within our educational community, and we were thrilled to receive their glowing feedback. The SENCOs spoke highly of our school’s inclusive environment, noting the strong sense of care and respect we foster for all pupils. They recognized and commended the exceptional value we place on our students, celebrating them as remarkable and capable young individuals. Their words reaffirm our commitment to creating a nurturing and empowering space for every learner.

A Visit from Aby Hardy

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Aby Hardy, Head of Education at Lancashire County Council, to our school. During her visit, she expressed high praise for the outstanding dedication and hard work of our entire staff. Aby was particularly impressed with the quality of education and care we provide, recognizing the remarkable impact it has on our students. In fact, she was so impressed that she has encouraged Bleasdale School to consider expanding our intake, urging us to welcome more pupils as soon as possible.

This recognition is a testament to the tireless efforts of our staff and the supportive, nurturing environment we have built. We are exploring ways to accommodate this growth, while maintaining the high standards that make our school such a special place for learning and development.

What’s Been Going on Around School?

Squirrels and Hedgehogs are enjoying working together to share the pleasure of reading. In small groups, Squirrels and Hedgehogs classes go to Silverdale library and share books together. Our students are working towards the different reading challenges the library offers.
