A new member of staff! 

Last week, we were delighted to welcome a new addition to our team, Hannah. Joining us as both a Cleaner and Mid-Day Supervisor, Hannah brings enthusiasm and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and organized environment. We’re confident her contributions will greatly enhance our daily operations and support the well-being of everyone in our community. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Hannah as she settles into her new roles! 

Informal Consultation Meeting Update 

Last week, we hosted a meeting to discuss the informal consultation regarding the proposed increase in student enrolment at Bleasdale School. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with strong support for the initiative—provided we address concerns around parking! 

Our Booths Shop!

We are thrilled to share an incredible milestone for our school community! With the generous support of Booths supermarket and their dedicated contractors, we transformed one of our classrooms into an innovative popup shop, creating a dynamic, hands-on learning environment for our students. This collaborative effort culminated in an official opening on December 6th, where the Booths team joined us to celebrate this exciting new addition. 

In this space, students are gaining invaluable practical experience, from interacting and communicating in a retail setting to following shopping lists, assisting customers, and even mastering the art of shelf-stacking. These functional skills are vital for fostering independence and confidence in everyday life, and the popup shop has quickly become a cornerstone of our educational approach. 

We extend our deepest gratitude to Booths for their incredible generosity and partnership. Their support has made a lasting impact on our school, and we are so excited about the opportunities this shop will continue to provide. 

And that’s not all—watch this space as we set our sights on even more exciting projects, including a fully functional hairdressing salon and a hospital simulation! Together, we are building a brighter future for our students, one innovative idea at a time. 

A Visit From the Police!

Last week, our younger pupils at Bleasdale School had an exciting visit from the local police, turning an ordinary day into an extraordinary learning experience! The officers gave the children an exclusive tour of their police car, both inside and out, sparking lots of curiosity! The highlight of the day? Our pupils got to try on real police uniforms, transforming into mini law enforcement officers! The session was filled with smiles, laughter, and valuable lessons, offering a hands-on glimpse into the vital role of police in our community. A huge thank you to our local heroes for making such a memorable day possible!
