School Photographer Poll – 13/10/2025

A Visit from our School Advisor

We were delighted to welcome our school advisor, Shaun Dukes, for a recent visit to Bleasdale. Shaun spent time walking through the school, observing daily life and chatting with staff and students.

He spoke warmly about the brilliant relationships he saw across the school — how colleagues support one another, especially when others are away, and how naturally students engaged with him, even as a visitor. Shaun shared that this sense of ease and connection clearly reflects the strong culture and caring ethos that defines Bleasdale.

Evidence for Learning (EfL)

This week we recorded 223 new Evidence for Learning (EfL) entries – a fantastic reflection of the rich learning experiences taking place across the school.

It’s been wonderful to see such a variety of learning environments being used, from outdoor sessions in the garden to meaningful activities out in the local community. A special mention to those who ventured into Silverdale for their learning opportunities – what a brilliant way to extend the classroom beyond the school walls!

Our Butterflies class also deserve recognition for their excellent reading intervention work this week – well done to everyone involved!

School Photographer Poll

Last week, our office team sent out a poll to parents asking for your views on the style of our annual pupil photographs. We’d love to know whether you’d prefer to keep the traditional formal portraits or move towards a more relaxed, natural style taken in and around the school.

Please check your emails for the link to the poll and take a moment to share your preference — your feedback will help us shape how we capture those special school memories!

Behaviour & Communication

Last week saw some fantastic examples of communication and positive behaviour across the school.

A big well done to our Butterflies class for their brilliant use of AAC devices to make requests, and to Acorns for using communication boards so effectively to express their feelings.

Job Interviews

Last week, we welcomed interview candidates into school, and it was wonderful to see the thoughtful, engaging sessions they delivered. The teamwork and support shown across classes were outstanding — a real reflection of the collaborative spirit that makes Bleasdale so special.

A huge round of applause to our successful applicants — Constance, Dani, Lana, Amy, and Kathryn — congratulations!
