Welcome back!
From all the Bleasdale School community, we hope all parents, guardians and students had a wonderful Christmas break and enjoyed a well-deserved rest with family and friends. As we begin the new term, we are delighted to welcome everyone back and look forward to the many opportunities for learning, growth and achievement that lie ahead. Thank you for your continued support and partnership, which play such an important role in the success and wellbeing of our students.
Evidence for Learning (EfL)
During the Autumn term, a total of 3,782 pieces of evidence were captured on Evidence for Learning, with 71% shared with parents and carers. This reflects our ongoing commitment to celebrating students’ learning, progress and achievements, while strengthening home–school communication and partnership.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to parents and carers for their continued engagement with Evidence for Learning, particularly for the valuable observations and evidence shared from home. Your contributions provide a more holistic picture of each child’s development and play an important role in supporting learning beyond the classroom. We greatly appreciate your ongoing partnership and involvement.
Bus Driver Mince Pies!
Last term, our annual Bus Driver Mince Pies event was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was wonderful to see so many of our drivers take the time to stay for a mince pie and share a moment together. This much-loved tradition continues to be a highlight of the year, and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported it.
Our drivers and their wider team play an essential—yet often unsung—role within the Bleasdale community, ensuring our pupils arrive at school safely each day and return home again. We are truly grateful for their dedication, care and commitment to our students.
Breakfast with Santa
Last term, Breakfast with Santa was a truly special occasion. My sincere thanks go to the leaders who once again braved the kitchen alongside me, as well as to Santa and his little Elf, who made magical appearances in each classroom. These moments of joy and excitement help to create lasting memories for our pupils, reminding us of the importance of shared experiences and the sense of wonder they bring to school life.
A Joyful End to the Term
Last term, Christingle celebrations across each space, alongside our final assemblies, provided a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community. It was a true joy to see so many of our pupils recognised for their achievements at the end of term, not only for excellent attendance, but also for their successes across a wide range of curriculum areas. These moments highlight the hard work, resilience and commitment of our pupils and staff, and we are incredibly proud of all that has been achieved.
