Bleasdale Students Performing at 3 Degrees Festival! – 09/06/2026

Welcome Back!

A huge thank you to our staff for giving our pupils such a fantastic welcome back. There’s nothing better than seeing professionalism, care and genuine enthusiasm reflected in the smiling faces of our pupils as they arrived at school on Monday. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do!

Bleasdale Students Performing at 3 Degrees Festival in Morecambe!

On Saturday the 27th of June our Otters class, Squirrels class and the Bleasdale school choir will be performing at a music festival in Morecambe. Our wonderful music teacher Maja Bugge has worked with the beat boxer and electronics musician Ashley Murphy from More Music. Together with the classes from Bleasedale they will be performing a brand new composition called “The World”.

The festival is FREE and everyone is invited! Here is a bit more info: https://moremusic.org.uk/whats-on/three-degrees-festival/

A Successful Fire Evacuation Test!

Last week, we carried out a successful fire evacuation drill. All procedures were followed correctly, and the exercise gave us confidence that our staff and pupils would respond safely and effectively in the event of a real emergency. We will continue to conduct regular drills and review our procedures, making any improvements needed to ensure the highest standards of safety for everyone in our school community.

A Lovely Comment from our Careers Advisor

Our Careers Advisor, Shaheen Gul, recently visited Bleasdale School and shared the following feedback:

“Today, I had the opportunity to visit Bleasdale School and was incredibly impressed by the outstanding facilities available to students. The school has created inspiring real-world learning environments, including a public shop, a hospital ward setting, a hairdressing salon, and many more exciting developments planned for the future.”

We were delighted to receive such positive feedback. Providing meaningful, real-world learning experiences is at the heart of what we do, and it is wonderful to see our facilities recognised for the opportunities they create for our pupils.

Evidence for Learning (EfL)

We recorded an impressive 248 Evidence for Learning (EfL) entries this week, showcasing the fantastic achievements, progress and experiences of our pupils across the school.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. These entries help us celebrate success, capture important learning moments and build a rich picture of each pupil’s journey.

Please continue to send EfL entries into school. We love seeing the achievements, milestones and special moments that take place both in and out of school, and every contribution helps us recognise and celebrate our pupils’ successes.

School Attendance

Last week’s whole-school attendance was 87.6%. While this is slightly lower than the previous week, it remains above the national average, which is a fantastic achievement for our school community.

Thank you to all our families for their continued support in helping pupils attend school regularly. Good attendance plays a vital role in ensuring pupils can make the most of their learning opportunities, build positive relationships and take part in the wide range of experiences we offer.

We will continue to work closely with families to support excellent attendance and celebrate the commitment shown by our pupils each week.

Staff Shout Out

A huge shout-out to our staff who organise and lead our EHCP review meetings. These meetings require a great deal of preparation, collaboration and care, and our team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every pupil’s needs, achievements and next steps are fully recognised.

We regularly receive positive feedback from parents, who leave these meetings feeling reassured, supported and proud of the progress their child is making. It is wonderful to hear how valued and well cared for families feel, and how highly they regard the education and opportunities their children receive.

Thank you to all staff involved for your professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to helping every pupil thrive.
