A Harvest Festival! – 06/10/2025

A Harvest Festival!

Last week, Bleasdale celebrated the Harvest Festival. The Harvest Festival is a special time when we come together to give thanks for the food we have and to reflect on the importance of sharing with others. As part of our celebration, we collected donations of food and other essentials to support our local community. We also learned about how harvest traditions are celebrated around the world and discussed the value of gratitude and generosity. It was a meaningful experience that reminded us of the importance of caring for one another.

Parent Feedback

Last week, we received some truly heartwarming parental feedback – one comment in particular followed a call from one of our Teaching Assistants, who reached out to offer some advice and support:

“It was the best advice and telephone call I have had for a long time, just what I needed, and then we had the best evening with our child. Thank you so much.”

Feedback like this is a wonderful reminder of the powerful impact that genuine care and connection can have on our families. It highlights the difference that our staff make every day – not only through their work in the classroom, but also through the relationships they build with our parents and carers. We are incredibly proud of our team for the compassion, professionalism, and dedication they show in supporting both our pupils and their families.

Silverdale Primary School Poetry Recital

Last week, our Headteacher, Sefton, visited Silverdale Primary School to serve as a judge for their annual poetry recital. The event brought together pupils from across the school, each sharing beautifully written and passionately delivered poems. Sefton was deeply impressed by the creativity, confidence, and expression shown by the children, as well as the dedication of the staff who had clearly supported and inspired their young poets.

It was a wonderful celebration of language and imagination, and a fantastic opportunity to see how the love of poetry continues to thrive within our wider school community. We are grateful to Silverdale Primary for the warm welcome and for inviting Sefton to be part of such a joyful and inspiring occasion.

Evidence for Learning (EfL)

Last week, we recorded an incredible 290 entries on EfL – what an achievement!

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to contribute, including our dedicated staff and our supportive parents and guardians. Your ongoing input plays such an important role in capturing the wonderful learning journeys and achievements of our pupils.

Without your effort and engagement, we wouldn’t be able to build such a rich, meaningful record of each child’s progress and experiences. Let’s keep the momentum going — every entry helps us celebrate our learners’ growth and success!
