Teaching Assistant Interviews
We were delighted to interview an exceptionally strong field of Teaching Assistant candidates this week and are pleased to share that three outstanding individuals have been offered positions. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment to supporting our pupils truly stood out.
The quality of applicants reflects the positive reputation of Bleasdale School and our shared commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational learning environment. We look forward to welcoming our new team members in the coming weeks and the valuable contribution they will make to supporting teaching and learning across the school.
Governing Body
The Governing Body would once again like to extend their sincere thanks for the hard work and dedication shown across the school — not only by our business leaders and office team, but by all staff who consistently provide support, care and attention to inclusive needs at every moment.
Recognition was given to the patience, compassion and thoughtful approach shown in working with our young people, ensuring they feel understood, supported and valued. This reflects our shared commitment to Reason, Relate, regulate in all that we do.
Evidence for Learning (EfL)
This week we recorded 452 EfL entries, with strong evidence submitted across the school. It has been encouraging to see a significant increase in green indicators on the data sheet, reflecting the positive impact of recent work.
Thank you to staff for continuing to identify and plug gaps, ensuring the full breadth of the curriculum is captured effectively. The use of a pre-prepared template is proving particularly helpful for some classes; Maples will be asked to share further insights and good practice with colleagues.
We would also like to thank parents for their ongoing support at home, which plays a vital role in helping us build a clear and accurate picture of each child’s learning.
Assembly
It was wonderful to drop in to the TO KNOW assembly this week and see Squirrels, Otters and Butterflies in attendance. The assembly provided a valuable opportunity to celebrate pupils’ achievements, share examples of good practice and reinforce the importance of regular attendance.
Whole-school attendance last week was 83.7%, and we would like to thank staff and families for their continued efforts in supporting pupils to attend regularly. Strong attendance plays a key role in helping children feel settled, connected and ready to learn, and we appreciate the positive partnership between home and school that helps make this possible.
