Christmas Plays Celebrate Pupils at the Heart of the Performance
This year’s Christmas Plays were a super celebration, blending play, learning and festive sensory experiences into a thoughtful and inclusive showcase. Carefully designed to balance enjoyment, alerting activities and curriculum links, the performances went far beyond a traditional end-of-term show.
Consistent throughout was a clear and powerful theme: this was not about the production itself, nor about those delivering it, but about the pupils. Their likes and dislikes shaped the experience, while their expressions and natural curiosity were woven through every moment. Inquiry, engagement and ownership were at the heart of the performances.
Rather than simply taking part, pupils truly owned the experience, stepping confidently into the limelight and sharing their voices in ways that felt authentic and meaningful to them. The result was a joyful celebration of individuality, creativity and learning.
Well done to everyone involved for empowering our young people to succeed — quite literally — in the spotlight.
Full Governors Meeting Highlights Achievement and Positive School Culture
The recent Full Governors meeting proved to be both a very full and fulfilling day, taking time to recognise the many achievements that staff and pupils have worked so hard to accomplish. The meeting was described as productive, with discussions firmly focused on ensuring children’s needs remain at the heart of all planning and decision-making.
Governors paid particular attention to the strong culture across the school, noting the care shown not only towards pupils but also towards one another. They acknowledged that this positive and supportive environment is built on both what staff do and how they do it each day.
The meeting concluded with governors extending a warm note of thanks to everyone involved, sharing their appreciation and wishing the whole community a very happy Christmas.
Behaviour and Communication Praised During Christmas Activities
Behaviour and communication across the school were highly praised during recent Christmas activities. Staff were thanked for their positive modelling, particularly in the way Christmas communication was shared and supported.
This consistent approach helped create clear, calm and inclusive interactions, ensuring pupils felt understood, supported and able to engage meaningfully throughout the festive period.
Staff Teamwork and Individual Achievements Celebrated
A huge thank you to staff who for the hard work and dedication shown throughout the term, with recognition that everyone has truly been an unbelievable team. Their collective effort has made a significant difference to the school community and to the experiences of pupils.
Special mention was given to Becky for successfully completing the Autism Accreditation Moderator Training and strengthening expertise across the school.
