Learning to Ride with Confidence – 12/01/2026

Our Thanks to the Bleasdale Team

To all our staff at Bleasdale School, thank you for simply for being you. Thank you for returning in good humour despite a wide range of challenges being thrown our way, it has been truly inspiring. In every session I visited, the kindness, care, and support you show to our pupils and to one another was striking and deeply impressive.

Thank you for returning with such positivity in January and for everything you do each day. Your dedication and commitment are truly appreciated.

Oh Yes It Was!

The staff Panto was a fantastic start to the term! Beginning the term with laughter and a real sense of togetherness was a joy and seeing the wide range of pupil reactions made it even more special. Moments like these remind us how powerful shared humour can be in building connection and community.

Learning to Ride with Confidence

Last week, GoVelo visited Bleasdale to deliver their Bikeability programme, giving pupils the opportunity to take part in a nationally recognised cycling scheme.

GoVelo runs an accredited Bikeability programme registered with the Department for Transport. Bikeability is the modern successor to Cycling Proficiency and is designed to reflect today’s road conditions, helping pupils develop the skills, confidence, and awareness needed to cycle safely and responsibly. Pupils worked through the different levels, earning certificates and badges to recognise their progress and achievements.

A big thank you to Anna, one of our HLTAs, for organising the visit, and to the classes who took part with such enthusiasm. Well done to all pupils involved—we are proud of your commitment to learning an important life skill and staying safe on the roads.

Evidence for Learning (EfL): A Fantastic Start to the Term!

Straight back into learning, with an impressive 330 pieces of evidence uploaded in the very first week!! This is a real testament to the consistency, commitment and high expectations across the school.

We would also like to thank our parents and carers for their continued engagement with EfL. Your interest in your child’s learning, responses to feedback and support at home play an important role in strengthening the partnership between school and families.

By working together and keeping communication open, we can ensure that EfL remains a meaningful tool to celebrate progress, identify next steps and support every pupil in reaching their potential. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community.
