Look to the Future!
Last week, Falcons Class hosted their Summer Employment event, ‘Look to the Future.’ This event featured stalls where pupils showcased and sold products crafted during their Enterprise lessons this year. Additionally, it provided a valuable platform for parents to engage with various companies and services available to their young people as they transition to post-19 opportunities. Blessed with favourable weather, our first summer ‘Look to the Future’ event took place in the beautiful school gardens.
These events are an excellent opportunity for parents to explore the range of opportunities available for their young people. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this event. We look forward to welcoming you to the next ‘Look to the Future’ event in October.

Summer Club 2024!
The anticipation is building as we approach the start of Summer Club 2024! By now, all parents and guardians of attending children should have received the final timetables for the two-week program. We are eagerly looking forward to sharing a fun-filled schedule of activities with you and your children.
As outlined in our previous correspondence, we remind you that parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the sessions. Our team is here to facilitate the activities, offering guidance and support as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Staff Feature – Molly and Rebecca
We are thrilled to announce that our newest Class Teachers, Molly and Rebecca, have successfully completed their induction at Bleasdale School. This included a thorough immersion into our safeguarding protocols, school systems, and operational procedures. They have delved deeply into the Bleasdale School Curriculum, both in theory and practice, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver exceptional educational experiences for the pupils in their classes.
Their training included an introduction to pedagogical approaches tailored for students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). They have been equipped with vital knowledge on health and safety standards, behavioural policies and procedures, and the development and implementation of behaviour plans and Pen Pictures.
Molly and Rebecca have also been trained in our assessment procedures, focusing on both theoretical and practical aspects, as well as the formulation of effective communication plans. They have also gained insights into reading and interpreting Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), collaborating with multiple agencies, and understanding medical practices vital to our students’ well-being.
With their induction now complete, Molly and Rebecca are ready to contribute significantly to our school community, bringing fresh perspectives and a dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment for all our students.

The talented staff at Bleasdale School demonstrated their culinary prowess by creating an array of delectable cakes, tray bakes, and an assortment of other treats, each more scrumptious than the last. The event not only showcased the school community’s spirit of collaboration but also highlighted the remarkable baking skills of the staff, making it a delightful success for everyone involved.
What’s going on around school?
Last week, the Hedgehogs and Maples classes came together for a collaborative musicscape session, where they had the opportunity to select the songs for Maya to play. The students then enthusiastically joined in with their own instruments. Maya, a talented musician who visits Bleasdale School weekly, plays her cello, creating a harmonious and engaging musical experience for all the pupils.
