Interviews
Following our recent cleaner interviews, we are delighted to welcome four new members to our site team. This means we now have a full complement of cleaning staff, which is fantastic news for the school.
Our currently advertised Business Support role has attracted significant interest, with over eight applicants shortlisted. Each candidate brings something different to the table. It has been wonderful to hear candidates speak so positively about the school’s reputation and culture, as reflected in their application statements. This is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff, so thank you Bleasdale staff for everything you do.
Pancake Day Fun!
What a fantastic Pancake Day celebration we had!
A special mention to Arlene, whose flipping skills were clearly on display in the brilliant photos shared on Facebook. It looked like both the children and staff had a wonderful time taking part in the fun activities. Well done to everyone involved in making the day such a success.
Pupil Attendance
A huge thank you to all parents and carers who continue to support the school in ensuring children attend regularly. Your commitment to getting children into school each day makes a real difference to their learning and wellbeing. Last week, our whole school attendance reached 92.7%, which is significantly higher than the national average of 85.7%. This is a fantastic achievement and shows the positive impact of our strong partnership between school and home.
Every day in school really does matter. By working together to identify, anticipate, prevent and improve, we can continue to support every child to get the most out of their learning. Thank you for helping us build strong routines and encouraging children to be in school and ready to learn!
Staff Shoutout
A huge thank you to Kayleigh, one of our teaching assistants, for going the extra mile with organising first aid kits and safety bum bags to help keep everyone safe at Bleasdale.
Your dedication and attention to detail are greatly appreciated.
Evidence for Learning (EfL) Update
We have seen fantastic engagement with Evidence for Learning, with another 288 pieces of evidence collected. There has been some brilliant learning and clear progression captured.
We will continue to share learning with home whenever possible so families can be part of those special moments!
Sign of the week: World Book Day
Symbol of the Week: World Book Day
Coming next week:
Looking ahead to next week, we have plenty to look forward to across the school. World Book Day will bring exciting opportunities for children to celebrate reading and share their favourite stories, while we will also be hosting interviews for our new Business Support Officer role. Alongside these events, there will be many more opportunities for learning, celebration and school life in action—making it another busy and enjoyable week for our pupils and staff.
