At Bleasdale School, we want every child and young person to feel safe, supported and able to thrive. We know that sometimes families need a little extra help, and we’re committed to offering support as soon as any concern begins to emerge.
What is Early Help?
Early help means offering support to children, young people, and their families at the earliest possible stage, so that challenges don’t grow into bigger difficulties. Any member of our staff team can recognise when early help may be useful and will work together to ensure families get the right support.
If you feel your family may benefit from extra help, you can speak with our safeguarding team to ensure the right support is put in place.
Our core aims and values include:
- Putting students at the heart of everything we do
- Providing person‑centred learning tailored to individual needs
- Supporting wellbeing for pupils, families, and staff
- Equipping learners with skills for life and independence
This caring, bespoke, and highly individualised approach is also reflected in our strong home–school partnerships and our commitment to working together with families.
How We Support Families Through Early Help
Any family may benefit from early help, and we are here to support whenever it’s needed. With your consent, we may:
- Meet with you to understand any concerns
- Work alongside other professionals and agencies where needed
- Create a coordinated plan of support through early help processes
- Offer in‑school support tailored to your child’s needs
Examples of Early Help at Bleasdale
Depending on the needs of a child or family, we may offer:
- Pastoral support for pupils (1:1 or small group work)
- Support from our school team for learning, communication, sensory needs, or behaviour strategies
- Working together with families to improve attendance
- Signposting to local services, medical professionals, or community support
- Help through multi‑agency working – which we embed into our specialist teaching and curriculum provision
Partnership With Parents
Bleasdale School places great importance on working closely with families, recognising that the best outcomes come from strong home–school collaboration and working together to support the children and families of Bleasdale.
