Partnership between home and school is meaningful through the school’s active use of the ‘Evidence for Learning’ system. Evidence for Learning gives a secure portal for class teams to provide observations of learning with videos and images to each family through the EfL learning journal. It allows families to provide observations of learning at home to the class team, so that our planning and assessment connect school and home. Every family has a personal login and access training and support.
Here is our simple guide of how to use this empowering software (not keen on exploring the software/guides? Send a little DoJo message and a member of your class team will get back to you and talk you through how to access. Not keen on technology? We can print copies to be sent home of the brilliant progression – however you will miss out on the POINT of learning that happens in the wonderful videos).
One of our key priorities at Bleasdale is to create a COACHING CULTURE across the school over time. But what exactly is a coaching culture? It’s a culture where everyone has a positive attitude, especially when it comes to dealing with challenges. So, when we face challenge, we’ll be putting all our energy into looking for a solution. COACHING is about empowerment and using Evidence for Learning home/school linking software we can highlight progress to each other, moments that mean the world to our staff and you, show how we are meeting EHCP targets over time, further develop independence and Prepare our pupils for Adulthood. If you want to hear more about the theory behind why and how we use this software, please click on some of the links below. We closely align and contribute to Nationwide Learning Shared learning conferences, network working groups, and podcasts.
