Resource Library

We are enjoying our new home reading scheme at Bleasdale School. Within this, pupils get to choose their stories then take these home to share with their families. We have different types of stories to suit our pupils needs, these being story sacks for the pupils on the TO BE pathway, books and symbol sheets for those on the TO DO pathway and reading scheme books for those on the TO KNOW pathway. The story sacks go home and are swapped on a half termly basis, and the books and symbol sheets or reading scheme books are swapped fortnightly.

Some examples of our favourite story sacks are Room on the Broom, Rainbow Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Lady and The Van, and some of our favourite book and symbol sheets are Calm down Boris, Farm Sounds, Jungle Sounds and the nursery rhyme finger puppets including Incy Wincy Spider and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

We love using our library at school and the pupils can access this weekly to share stories and enhance their learning.
