School Music Festival! – 02/07/2026

School Music Festival

We are incredibly proud of Oliver, who bravely stood up and performed in front of an audience at the School Music Festival alongside pupils from Morecambe Road School. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to showcase their talents and confidence. A huge thank you to Maja for organising this fantastic experience and to Kathryn for her support throughout the event.

Daisies Class Stay and Play

Our Daisies Stay and Play session was a great success! It was lovely to welcome parents into the classroom and see them learning through play alongside their children. The session provided a wonderful opportunity for families to experience first-hand the engaging and enjoyable learning opportunities that take place in Daisies every day.

Arts Festival Success

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making our Arts Festival such a success. The positive feedback from visitors highlights just how special our school community is. Here are just a few comments from our visitors’ book:

“Really wonderful – well done to all who work here and for the support and love shown to the children.”

“Honey was really informative and very enthusiastic.”

“Wonderful place – an obvious great vibe.”

“I felt very emotional walking around this amazing school. I had no idea what amazing work was happening. The children are very lucky.”

“So impressive. Every school should be as inspiring.”

Thank you to all staff and pupils for the hard work, creativity and commitment that made this event such a memorable celebration.

Attendance

Despite the extreme heat this week, our attendance remained at 83%, which is still higher than 56% of other schools using Arbor.

Thank you to families for continuing to support good attendance wherever possible. Every day in school makes a difference to our pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

Staff Shout-Outs

A few special mentions this week:

All Staff – Thank you for continuing to get on with Bleasdale life and providing the very best for our pupils despite the challenging temperatures.

Lou – For always being child-centred and putting pupils at the heart of everything she does.

Daisies Team – For creating engaging and exciting learning experiences, including their fascinating work learning about worms!

Jayne B – For always being so positive, cheerful and smiley, helping to brighten everyone’s day.

Thank you all for your dedication and hard work. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful team.

Coming next week:

Next week promises to be another busy and exciting one for our school community. Our Governors will be visiting for a full Governors’ meeting to discuss key priorities and future developments, while several members of staff will be completing Pupil Behaviour PRICE training as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting pupils effectively. On Friday, we look forward to celebrating creativity through our Poetry in the Park/Garden event, and we will also be coming together for our community meeting to share news, achievements and successes across the school.
