Sighted Guide Training Builds Confidence and Independence – 18/05/2026

Sighted Guide Training Builds Confidence and Independence

A big thank you to the staff members who stayed after school this week to take part in Sighted Guide training. The session gave staff the opportunity to learn valuable new skills to support one of our pupils in developing greater independence and confidence around school.

The training was approached with positivity, trust and plenty of good humour, with staff fully embracing the experience and supporting one another throughout. It was wonderful to see such teamwork and commitment from everyone involved.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our staff in continually developing their skills to meet the needs of all our pupils.

Celebrating ASDAN Accreditation Success

Congratulations to three of our pupils who have successfully achieved their ASDAN accreditation in Personal Progress.

This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, determination and perseverance shown by the pupils throughout their learning journey. A huge thank you also goes to the staff team who supported and encouraged them every step of the way.

The external report praised the provision highly, stating:

“The centre is to be commended for the variety and scope of tasks which allowed the learners individual and personalised achievements.”

We are extremely proud of this recognition and of the personalised opportunities provided to help every pupil succeed.

Attendance Update – Keep Up the Great Work!

Our current school attendance is 89.6%.

Thank you to all families for your continued support in helping pupils attend school regularly and ready to learn. Every day in school makes a difference and we are really pleased to see such positive progress.

You’re doing so well — keep going!

Celebrating Our LPPA Award Success

We are delighted to share the wonderful feedback received as part of our LPPA Award recognition.

The report highlighted the incredible dedication and care shown by our staff team, stating:

It also celebrated the inclusive culture at Bleasdale and the strong partnerships built with families:

“This report celebrates the strength of our inclusive culture, our unwavering ambition for pupils and the powerful partnerships that make Bleasdale such a special place to learn and grow.”

We are extremely proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone who contributes to making Bleasdale such a supportive and nurturing community. The full report will soon be available on the website.
