Interviews
As our school continues to grow, we’re excited to share that last week we held a round of interviews and have now appointed three new Teaching Assistants at Level 2B. These new team members will play an important role in supporting our pupils and enriching the day-to-day learning experience across the school.
Silverdale Arts Festival
On Saturday, we were proud to open our doors to the community as part of the Silverdale Arts Festival, celebrating creativity, connection, and the vibrant spirit of our school. Visitors enjoyed student artwork that showcased the incredible talent and imagination within our school community. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, share our achievements, fill up on refreshments and highlight the importance of the arts in education.
National Autistic Society (NAS) Assessment
Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming representatives from the National Autistic Society (NAS) as part of our formal assessment for potential accreditation. This important visit marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all pupils—and we are proud to be considered for recognition through the NAS award.
The Autism Accreditation Programme offers three distinct levels of recognition: the Autism Specialist Award, the Autism Inclusion Award, and the Autism Friendly Award. It remains the UK’s only autism-specific quality assurance programme, designed to support and develop organisations that provide services to autistic individuals.
The Autism Specialist Award is specifically designed for specialist providers in education, social care, and the prison sector. It is also available to mainstream providers who are committed to demonstrating specialist expertise in supporting autistic people.
Staff Shout Out!
A huge congratulations to one of our dedicated teachers, Robbie, who has successfully secured a £1,000 grant from The Ernest Cook Trust to support our Nature and Nurture initiative. This funding will play a valuable role in enhancing our Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) programme, helping us to create enriching, nature-connected experiences for our pupils.
This grant is a testament to Robbie’s commitment to fostering outdoor learning and wellbeing, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have on our school environment in the months ahead.
