Sports Week
Last week at Bleasdale was Sports Week, a vibrant celebration of teamwork, determination, and school spirit. The school came alive with energy as students took part in a wide range of athletic events, showcasing not only their physical skills but also their resilience, cooperation, and enthusiasm. Whether competing for victory or cheering from the sidelines, every student played a part in making the week unforgettable. It was a true testament to the strength of our community and the joy of healthy competition!
A visit from Cllr Graham Dalton (Lancashire County Councillor)
Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Graham Dalton, Lancashire County Councillor, to Bleasdale. During his visit, he spoke warmly of the dedication and care evident throughout the school, remarking that the staff have “crafted a truly special place.” Deeply impressed by the nurturing environment and the commitment to our pupils’ wellbeing and development, Cllr Dalton expressed his sincere desire to support our work in any way he can. His visit was a valuable opportunity to share our vision and the incredible progress of our students — and we look forward to building a meaningful partnership with him in the future.
3R Charity Shop Donation
Last week, we were delighted to receive a generous donation from the 3R Charity Shop in Carnforth, designated to enhance our sports equipment at Bleasdale. This thoughtful contribution will make a meaningful difference to our school, enabling us to expand opportunities for physical activity, develop new skills and further enrich our students’ wellbeing through sport. We are incredibly grateful for 3R’s support. Partnerships like this strengthen our community and help create lasting impact for our young people.
Thank you 3R Charity Shop!
Evidence for Learning (EfL)
Last week, our dedicated staff uploaded an outstanding 142 pieces of evidence to the Evidence for Learning app, capturing the incredible progress and everyday achievements of our pupils. These regular updates offer families a meaningful insight into school life, highlighting the rich learning experiences taking place each day.
Transitions
Last week at Bleasdale School, we had the pleasure of welcoming both new students and those who have recently joined us for transition visits. These carefully planned sessions offer an essential opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with their new environment, connect with peers and staff and begin building the confidence and relationships that will support their journey at Bleasdale. Our dedicated teamwork in close partnership with families and carers to ensure that every student felt safe, welcomed and understood from the very beginning. It has been a joy to witness their enthusiasm, curiosity, and an emerging sense of belonging already shining through.
