Bleasdale Teamwork in Action! – 19/01/2026

Lifeguard Training

Some of our staff completed lifeguard training on Monday and Tuesday last week to ensure we continue to meet all lifeguard compliance requirements. We are proud to congratulate those staff members who successfully achieved their certification.

This training is more than a regulatory requirement—it reflects our ongoing commitment to student safety and wellbeing. The course covered a variety of skills and confidence needed to supervise aquatic activities responsibly.

Thank you to our staff for their dedication and willingness to undertake this training. Their efforts help ensure that all water-based activities at our school are conducted in a safe, prepared and supportive environment for every child.

Building Our Team

Shortlisting for Teaching Assistant interviews took place last week, and we were delighted by the continued high quality of applications received. Once again, the range of candidates was strong, reflecting the high level of interest in joining our school community.

We look forward to welcoming shortlisted candidates into classrooms as part of the next stage of the process, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, build relationships with students, and showcase their passion for supporting learning. Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in contributing to our school—your enthusiasm and commitment are greatly appreciated.

Meet Our New Teaching Assistants!

We are pleased to welcome two new members to our team, Zara and Amanda, who have both joined us as Teaching Assistants! They bring enthusiasm, care, and a strong commitment to supporting students’ learning and wellbeing. We are delighted to have them as part of our school community and look forward to the positive contribution they will make in classrooms across the school.

Teamwork in Action

Well done to the staff working in Butterfly Class and to those who provided additional support last week. The teamwork on display was outstanding, with colleagues working closely together to ensure consistency, care, and calm as everyone settled back into established routines. It was wonderful to see such a strong example of Bleasdale practice in action, with staff supporting one another to create a positive and structured learning environment for our students.

Evidence for Learning (EfL)

Last week we recorded an impressive 477 entries on Evidence for Learning, reflecting the wide range of learning experiences taking place across the school. Thank you to all parents and guardians who continue to engage with EfL by viewing, commenting on and contributing to learning moments from home. Your involvement helps strengthen the partnership between home and school and supports each child’s learning journey.

Coming next week:

This week we are pleased to welcome a new school Governor to Bleasdale, who will be visiting the school to introduce himself and become familiar with our community. We look forward to working closely with him as part of our governing body.

We will also be welcoming Shaun Dukes, LCC Advisor, who will be visiting the school for a tour and meetings with senior leaders. These visits provide valuable opportunities for reflection, discussion, and continued development.

In addition, Teaching Assistant interviews will be taking place this week, and we look forward to meeting our shortlisted candidates and seeing them in action within classrooms.
