New pupils
We are thrilled to welcome 11 new pupils joining us for the 2024 academic year! Thanks to their successful transition period, they have already begun settling in seamlessly. Their positive integration so far has been exceptional, and we’re excited to see them thrive in our vibrant school community!
New staff
We are excited to announce the addition of two new team members for the 2024 academic year: Nick, joining us as our Site Supervisor, and Laura, stepping into the role of Teaching Assistant. We are thrilled to welcome both Nick and Laura to our community and are confident they will bring fresh energy and valuable contributions to our team. It’s always a pleasure to grow our family, and we look forward to collaborating and achieving great things together in the months ahead! Welcome aboard!
Summer School
During the first two weeks of summer, several of our dedicated staff generously devoted their well-earned holiday to creating unforgettable experiences for Bleasdale School pupils. This unique Summer Club provided an inspiring opportunity for our students to:

- Boost Physical Health and Well-being
- Build Confidence and Self-Esteem
It was truly heart-warming to witness our pupils thrive, grow, and have fun as they immersed themselves in these enriching sessions. We look forward with excitement to next year, eager to build on this year’s success and create even more memorable moments!
Staff training days (02/09/2024 & 03/09/2024)
Last Monday and Tuesday, our dedicated staff at Bleasdale School engaged in crucial professional development sessions, focusing on safeguarding, Team Teach strategies, and GDPR compliance. These training workshops were invaluable, ensuring that our team remains equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to foster a safe, supportive, and legally compliant environment for both students and staff. By continuing to invest in these critical areas, we reaffirm our commitment to providing the highest standard of care and education.
First assembly after the summer holidays!
Last Friday, we hosted our first assembly of the academic year, and it was a truly inspiring start! It’s always rewarding to witness the progress and growth of our pupils as the week comes to a close. This time, we made a special effort to warmly welcome and integrate our new students, fostering a strong sense of unity and community across the entire school. Bringing everyone together in this way truly sets the tone for an exciting and collaborative year ahead!
Our newly refreshed trike and bike storage container just got a fresh coat of paint!
During the summer holidays, our generous Parent Governor, Russ, transformed our new trike and bike storage container into a vibrant work of art! His creativity brought the space to life with bold, colourful designs that brighten up the area and make it a joy for our students. We are incredibly grateful for Russ’s time and effort in making this project so special, adding a touch of artistic flair to our school grounds! See below video for Russ’s fantastic work!
