Welcome back!
After a well-deserved February half-term break, we warmly welcome back the entire Bleasdale community with open arms! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable time, recharging for the exciting opportunities ahead.
As we step into this next chapter of the term, we look forward to seeing our students thrive, reconnecting as a community, and embracing new learning experiences together. Let’s make this half-term one filled with growth, achievement, and joyful moments! Here’s to a fantastic return—let’s make it unforgettable!
Valentines Day Celebrations
We had a fantastic afternoon at Bleasdale School for Valentines Day, filled with joy and meaningful connections! The brilliant party in the hall created a lively and festive atmosphere, while the sensory activities in the Therapies dining room provided an enriching experience for all. It was truly heartwarming to see the incredible interactions between pupils, making this a wonderful social occasion where our learners could fully engage and shine. A huge thank you to Seedlings and the entire team for their dedication and support in bringing this special event to life!
A Special Visit from Philippa Williamson
During the final week of term, we had the pleasure of welcoming Philippa Williamson, a senior member of Lancashire County Council, to Bleasdale School. Her visit was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the incredible work being done by our staff and students, and we were deeply appreciative of her kind words about our school and its place within the Silverdale community.
Following her visit, Philippa shared the following message:
“Dear Sefton, Thank you so much for your email and for reaching out. I hadn’t realised how many people listen in to Cabinet meetings, but I’ve since received several messages from residents and others expressing their appreciation for my comments on Silverdale and Bleasdale. It’s clear that what we have in the village—particularly its relationship with Bleasdale School—is something truly special and unique.
I was particularly struck by our conversation when you mentioned that, historically, some might have questioned whether Silverdale was the right place for a school like Bleasdale. But in reality, it is the perfect place—and I wholeheartedly agree with you. Well done to you and your team for everything you are doing. Keep up the fantastic work!”
Her words reinforce what we already know: Bleasdale School thrives because of the strong sense of community and the unwavering support from those around us. We are incredibly proud of what we have built together, and we look forward to continuing to grow and flourish in the heart of Silverdale.
A Huge Shoutout to Our Incredible Wellbeing Team!
A heartfelt thank you to our Wellbeing Team for their dedication and compassion. After meeting with Rosemary (our Chair of Governors), she described them as “an inspirational and caring group of people who truly want the best for everyone.” Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we encourage everyone to share their feedback—because your well-being matters!
