We’re in the News!
We’re proud to share that our school was recently featured on the Beyond Radio news page!
We had the honour of welcoming Paralympian Ayaz Bhuta MBE to our school. His visit was truly inspiring for our pupils, staff, and governors, as he encouraged everyone to embrace a more active and resilient lifestyle.
Ayaz, a wheelchair rugby player for Team GB, competed at both the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games—bringing home a Gold Medal in Tokyo! During his visit, we even had the incredible opportunity to see the medal up close!

Transition Visits
Last week, we continued our transition visits for our incoming pupils—a vital part of helping them feel confident, comfortable, and excited about starting their journey with us. These visits offer a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their new learning environment, meet staff, make new friends, and begin building a sense of belonging within our school community.
We will be continuing these transition sessions right up until the end of term, ensuring every child is supported and ready for a smooth, positive start in September.
Poetry in the Park
Last week, we hosted our Poetry in the Park event, a joyful celebration of creativity and connection. We were delighted to welcome members of the wider community to join our school in sharing and enjoying poetry in a beautiful outdoor setting.
It was a heart-warming occasion that brought together pupils, staff, families, and residents—all united by the power of words and the spirit of togetherness.
School Picnic
Last week, we held a wonderful school picnic, warmly inviting parents and carers to join us for an afternoon of food, fun, and community spirit. It was a fantastic opportunity for families to relax together, connect with staff, and celebrate the school year in a joyful, informal setting.
Laughter echoed across the grounds as pupils and parents shared stories and created lasting memories.
Reporting to Parents Day
Last week, we welcomed families into school for our Reporting to Parents Day, a valuable opportunity to share and celebrate each child’s progress and achievements.
These conversations between parents, carers and teachers play a crucial role in supporting our pupils’ development—highlighting successes, identifying next steps, and strengthening the vital partnership between home and school.
We’re proud of all that our pupils have accomplished so far and remain committed to working together to ensure every child continues to thrive.
Look to the Future Event
Last week, we proudly hosted our Look to the Future events, welcoming pupils, parents/carers and a range of external organisations into school to discuss the possibilities for our pupils beyond Bleasdale.
These events are designed to spark curiosity, broaden horizons and encourage our pupils and their parents/carers to think confidently about the possibilities that lie ahead—whether in education, careers or personal development.
We’re grateful to all the organisations and guests who gave their time and expertise, helping to plant the seeds of ambition in the minds of our young learners. Together, we’re helping them take the first steps towards bright and exciting futures.
