World Around Me Week
World Around Me Week brought with it some truly brilliant moments of discovery. These were captured and shared not only throughout each day in school, but also via Evidence for Learning (EfL).
Thank you to everyone who took the time to explore this important area of the curriculum so deeply and meaningfully. It was wonderful to see pupils learning about action and reaction through hands-on experiences, curiosity, and creativity.
School Performance
We were delighted to receive such positive feedback from our governors for the pupil performance:
“I was really impressed with the brilliant music event. A huge well done to everyone involved! Otters who bravely sang with a microphone, and Imogen, who played her instrument with such confidence. The artwork linked to expressive compositions was fantastic—it felt truly therapeutic.”
A fantastic reflection of the confidence, creativity, and talent shown by our pupils.
Staff Shout-Out
A big well done to Karen, one of our HLTAs, for successfully completing our Compass review. This has resulted in a significant increase in standards across all areas.
This achievement reflects the collective effort of staff working towards the Gatsby Benchmarks – keep going, it is making a real difference!
Evidence for Learning (EfL) Update
We have seen some incredibly proud and emotional responses from parents this week. Please do keep sharing these special moments!
Highlights included one pupil taking in the atmosphere of the music festival before giving Nicola (Class Teacher) a heartfelt hug and another pupil making wonderful face-to-face contact with Sally (Class Teacher), showing real engagement and awareness of movement around her.
